The success of cancer chemotherapy is often limited by drug resistance.Among other mechanism,decreased drug uptake or enhanced efflux caused by an altered expression of transmembrane transporters and changes drug and hormones-metabolizing enzymes will reduce the intracellular concentrations of active agents and induce drug resistance.
