Tropical cyclone (TC) precipitation of China during 1951-2005 was analyzed in this paper by an objective method.Based on TC track data with center location,central pressure and maximum wind speed information from China Meteorological Administration (CMA),wind fields for every 6 hour of each TC were established using empirical formula and regressed coefficients.Radii of a specific wind speed (10.8m/s) at each TC center location were calculated and symmetric smooth buffer areas were made for each day using such radii.
