Background: University students suicide rate of about 20/10 million is 2 to 4 times for the general population, and the suicide rate increased year by year.To explore prevalence of suicide ideation, plans, and attempts and related risk factors of university students and provide an evidence for early intervention on suicide.Methods: Stratified random proportional sampling method was used to interview university students.Version 3.0 of the Composite International Diagnostic Interview of World Health Organization (WHO-CIDI-3.0) was applied to investigate.Results: The lifetime prevalence of suicide ideation, plans, and attempts were 5.3%, 0.5%, 0.4%, respectively.Risk factors for lifetime suicide-related phenomena were female sex, major in medicine and rigaku, single parent family, more punishment and poor parents relationship while you were growing up, history of parents suicide and having suicide plan.Conclusion: University students, suicide should be getting more attention.Taking measures of comprehensive intervention and taking care of special groups should be used to effectively prevent suicide.
