动物是生态系统的重要组成部分,动物多样性(animal diversity)的存在对人类生存和发展有重大意义.西南地区是中国动物多样性极为丰富的地区,也是民族文化精彩纷呈的地区.西南山地各民族的饮食文化、服饰文化、医药文化、宗教文化与制度文化体系,构成了西南山地动物多样性传承的文化驱动机制.
