Objective To compare the QT interval ,QTc, Tp-e interval and Tp-e/QT ratio between patients with type 2 diabetes and normal individuals.Methods one hundred patients with diabetes were randomly selected, and one hundred age-and-gender-matched normal healthy individuals were selected as controls.The QT interval ,R-R interval, Tp-e interval were measured respectively on electrocardiogram precordial lead V2,and the QTc and Tp-e/QT ratio were calculated.Results The QT interval was no significant difference between diabetic group and control group(P>0.05); however, the QTc in the diabetic group was higher than that of control group(P<0.05);moreover, the Tp-e interval and Tp-e/QT ratio in diabetic group was higher than those in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion QTc, Tp-e interval and Tp-e/QT ratio increase in type 2 diabetes, which may be a useful electrocardiographic index of arrhythmogenesis.
