Totally 135 ORFs are in the genome ofHelicoverpa armigera nucleopolyhedrovirus (HearNPV), a pathogen that infects cotton bollworms (H.armigera).The HearNPV ORF83 (Ha83) , a member of these ORFs, had been verified as a late gene with a chitin binding domain and was involved in the cellular traspotring proces.In this study, this multifunctional gene was characterized by gene deletion, repair and key amino acid mutants analysis on chitin binding domain (CBD).
