In this study,a new regenerative evaporative cooler(REC)sample was made,and heat and moisture transfer characteristics were investigated.Data are compared with heat and moisture transfer model by Kim [1],which incorporated salient features of REC,for example air leakage between channels,entrance region,non-uniform overall heat transfer coefficient,etc.Comparison of the model with limited experimental data revealed favorable results.There existed optimum extraction ratio,which maximizes the cooling capacity.On the other hand,dew point efficiency increased as extraction ratio increased.
