　　The present study aimed to observe the effect of xyloketal B [Xyl-B,novel marine compound isolated from mangrove fungus Xylaria sp.(no.2508)] in a mouse model of stroke.Our previous studies have demonstrated that a pretreatment with Xyl-B exerted neuroprotective effects and attenuated hypoxic-ischemic brain injury in neonatal mice.
