Civil structures begin to deteriorate once they are built and continuously accumulate damage during their service lives because of natural hazard and harsh environment such as earthquake, storm, fire.long-term fatigue and corrosion. To ensure the serviceability and safery of structures, structural damage detection and reliability assessment are necessary. While the development of vibration-based damage detection methods have now attained much attention and some degree of maturity, the application of measurement data to structural reliability evaluation is still in its infancy.Moreover.structural system identification and reliability assessment are treated separately in most of previous studies.
