This study aimed to explore the relationship between the parents' parental rearing styles and their children's creativity.In this study,28 kindergarten students and their parents were selected as study participants.A total of 28 valid questionnaires were obtained.In addition,through the observation method,young children are interviewed,and children are asked to deduce or demonstrate the number of creative associations.The survey results were analyzed using descriptive analysis,independent sample t-test and chi-square test and the results were:(1)The parents' parental rearing styles of preschool children tended to be more“authoritative parenting”,followed by “authoritarian parenting”,“overprotection parenting”.However,“neglecting parenting” was the least.(2)The authoritative parenting style facilitates children's creativity,however the authoritarian parenting stunts children's creativity.(3)No gender differences in children's creativity were found.
