N-heterocyclic carbenes(NHCs) have been widely used as organocatalysts or ligands in catalytic processes.In recent years,NHCs have been raised as potential systems for capture/activation and conversion of carbon dioxide(CO2) by forming NHC-CO2 complexes1.
