  Flexible metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)which undergo structural changes in response to guest removal and uptake hold great promise as smart materials for specific applications such as gas separation and molecular sensing.Understanding the dynamic behavior of flexible MOFs is crucial yet challenging as it involves the characterization of weak interactions and subtle structural transformation at molecular level.
