Bacterial proliferation on the cut surface of stem-ends is regarded as the main cause of stem blockage in many cut flowers and foliage.Nano-silver (NS) formulation, as a new antibacterial inorganic agent, had positive effects in extending vase life of the tested cut-flowers, including cut gerberas.
