本文借鉴认知语言学对隐喻研究的成果，试图提出一个关注隐喻的翻译教学法。作者首先强调“语言基本是隐喻的”这个认知学派的基本观点，并以此为出发点，指出了概念隐喻，甚至语言隐喻的跨文化性以及这一隐喻观在翻译教学上的应用。作者随后从翻译的角度为隐喻分类，同时又从前景和文本的角度评估了不同语境中隐喻的价值及其处理方法，试图建构一个完整的翻译教学法。
中医英语是陕西中医学院为英语专业本科生开设的一门新开课程，是中医外向型人才培养教学中的一门主修课，已在我院讲授四个轮次。本项研究就这门课程在开设时从前期论证与教学工作准备到教学过程中的优化整合与教学模式探索作了初步的探讨性研究，对其中的创新之处与成果运用情况进行了简要归纳和总结，提出了“精讲、多记、广读、中西比较、勤练、重实践”的行之有效的独特教学模式。
