Potentilla viscosa is one kind of perennial herb which is mainly distributed in the Northeast and Northwest China,Korea,Mongolia,and Siberia.The Potentilla viscosa has been used to treat diverse chronic and acute hepatitis.Eight compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction,which were elucidated as (+)-(S)-aspidinol D(1),4,5,7-trihydroxy-6,8-dimethyl-flavanone(2),5-methoxy-4-methyl-resorcinol(3),3,8-dimethylherbacetin(4),3,8,4-trimethylherbacetin(5),6-methylapigenin(6),ursolic acid(7),1-monopentadecanoin(8).All of them were found from Potentilla viscosa for the first time.
