Recent publications showed that aberrant tncRNA expression plays an important role in hepatocarcinogenesis.Potentially, lncRNAs can become diagnostic and prognostic markers as well as the therapy targets for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).The submitted paper shows the effects of trichostatin on IncRNA and protein coding gene expression.In addition, we demonstrated the interactions between lncRNA and coding genes in trichostatin-induced HCC cell death.Moreover, our novel findings established the role of uc002mbe.2 in trichostatin-mediated apoptosis of HCC cells.Intergenic uc002mbe.2 may present a potential therapeutic target in HCC treatment.The reduction of uc002mbe.2 in HCC may promote proliferation of human liver cancer cells.
