Compared with the case of the cast in situ concrete with a uniform bending rigidity of NATM tunnel, the rigidity of shield tunnel lining composed of segments connected by bolts in longitudinal direction and transverse direction are quite different. The increasing attention is focused on the likelihood of water leakage caused by the longitudinal excessive deformation of undersea tunnel i.e.excessive crack opening displacement in view of its far less longitudinal rigidity. In this paper, the 3D numerical analyses are firstly conducted to investigate the distribution ranges of longitudinal uneven deformation.Based on this, taking the differential settlements as displacement boundary, the crack opening displacements of the aimed shield tunnel in longitudinal direction are studied by establishing longitudinal shell-spring-contact model. The results provide a reference for the lining longitudinal design of Nanjing highway tunnel across Yangtze River.
