皂苷类化合物(saponin)是许多中草药植物的主要成分,具有良好的调节心血管活性、抗炎症、降血糖、抗肿瘤以及免疫调节等重要生物活性.例如,知母皂苷Timosaponin AⅢ (TAⅢ)是从百合科植物知母的根茎种分离出来的一种二糖皂苷,具有抗肿瘤、抑制血小板聚集、降血糖等多种药理活性.最新的研究表明TAⅢ具有诱导HeLa细胞凋亡和自我吞噬的双重作用.
