It is well established that catalyst characterization should be done under working conditions.However, the counting of active sites is still performed at room or liquid N2 temperature.The problem is that at present there is only one technique, which is steady state isotopic transient kinetic analysis (SSITKA), that can count active sites on a catalyst under working conditions.However, there are only a few laboratories that can do a SSITKA study.For us, the obstacle is the need to use isotopes, which are expensive.We report a method to acquire data akin to SSITKAs without isotopes.
