Propose To explore the visual acuity (VA) and contrast sensitivity function (CSF) in amblyopic subjects after perceptual learning with high-order aberrations correction.Methods VA was measured under normal viewing condition, while CSF was measured under HOAs-corrected and-uncorrected condition before and after perceptual learning.A real-time closed-loop adaptive optics visual stimulator system was used to CSF measurement with and without HOAs-correction, and perceptual learning with HOAs-correction.The contrast detection with a two-interval forced-choice procedure was used for both perceptual learning and threshold measurement.30 amblyopic patients (mean age, 15.66 years) were trained and tested monocularly in amblyopic eyes, and more measurements of VA and CSF were made in the fellow eves for 8 patients.
