The separation of ethanol/water mixtures by pervaporation is important for obtaining liquid fuel from biomass sources, the core of the pervaporation technology is membrane materials.Tuning the hydrophobic properties of organic and inorganic materials by surface silanization was an effective method, in most cases the modification is used to control the adsorption and catalytic properties of the porous materials of zeolites, only in few cases the investigations have focused on the incorpora tion of surface modified zeolite particles with chlorosilanes into silicone membranes.
