Background, Motivation and Objective Hemostasis is the physiological process that stops bleeding. While individual hemostatic components can be tested biochemically, the most clinically relevant tests quantify the evolving mechanical properties of whole blood as it clots. Existing tests are difficult to operate and interpret.
