Stable liposomal/chitosan nanoscale complexes for targeted delivery of erlotinib to EGFR overexpress

  Lung cancer is one of the leading type of cancers in terms of mortality and mobility.Currently,nanoparticles(NPs)have received more and more attention to tackle the challenges of lung cancer,particularly in targeting drug delivery system(TDDS).In this study,we utilized liposomes and chitosan jointly as novel and stable carrier to administer erlotinib.A series of optimizing experiments were introduced to select the optimal formation of the complexes we synthesized.Then,we also employed anti-EGFR aptamer(Apt)to enhance the intracellular delivery of NPs to tumor site and loaded erlotinib on the functionalized nanoscale complexes for further drug therapy.
