China ceramic as well as silk was very popular in the ancient trade markets of the world.The goods went to the world through both land route and maritime route.The former route was called the Land Silk Road and later the Maritime Silk Road.A lot of broken ceramic pieces were recently founded in the ships sank in the south ocean and ports,causing a new research boom about the maritime silk road in china.This article will introduce some progress of the research related with the ceramic pieces and discuss some expectation on the maritime trade in the 21st century.
