Objective: By compairing four maxillofacial trauma scoring systems, we selected one scoring system which was more suitable for evaluating the injury severity of mandible fractures. Methods: We selected three systems to grade injury severity: Maxillofacial Injury Severity Score (MISS), Maxillofacial Injury Severity Score (MFISS), and Mandible Injury Severity Score. We then graded the injury severity of 313 new mandible fractures. And the results were statistically analyzed.
