Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a Gram negative opportunistic pathogen responsible for nosocomial infection, chronic lung infections in Cystic Fibrosis (CF) patients, wound infection of patients with burn trauma, and infections in patients with compromised immune system.P.aeruginosa can easily form bacterial biofilm in vivo and in vitro.More and more evidences indicate that many chronic infections caused by P.aeruginosa in humans are actually biofilm infections.
