Indigenous Landim cattle in Mozambique,commonly known as Nguni,account for approximately 70% of the cattle population in Mozambique and are mainly distributed in the southern provinces.Due to its high calving and weaning rates,associated with good dressing percentages on supplementary feeding,it has been successfully used for meat production.
