The Dirac atomic R-matrix methods are used to investigate the photoionisation (PI) of the ground state and metastable states Sc2+ ions in the energy region of 23-43 eV.The partial and total PI are calculated and the results are in accordance with the other theoretical and experimental values.The PI cross section of Sc2+is primarily dominated by the ground state 2De3/2 and the excited state 2De5/2 in the photon energy range of 23-43 eV.
