To remove hydrogen sulfide and ammonia simultaneously from hot coal-bases,the Zn-based catal-sorbents were prepared by impregnation method with various metals such as cobalt,nickel and molybdenum.Their simultaneous removal capacities of the hydrogen sulfide and ammonia were tested in a fixed bed quartz reactor under coal gas condition at 650 ℃ [1].The Zn-based catal-sorbents showed good capacities for removal of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide while pure ZnO showed very poor capacity for decomposition of ammonia.Especially,the sorbents promoted with cobalt,CZ-series showed excellent capacities for removal of hydrogen sulfide and decomposition of ammonia than other catal-sorbents.Also,in this study,the role of additive metal on surface of catal-sorbent was studied by measuring the physical property such as surface area,pore volume and crystal structure [2,3].
