The Rayleigh problem rarefied flow is studied in a wide range of plate velocity and plate temperature values.The numerical solution of Boltzmann equation by the direct Monte Carlo simulation method is used.The energy flux that is transferred to the plate,the shear stress and the normal momentum flux that is transferred to the plate are considered.It is found that the heating of the plate by the surrounding gas is replaced by the cooling of the plate at a certain point after the plate motion begins.Moreover the corresponding dependence of the energy flux that is transmitted to the plate vs the time has the negative local minimum.This e ect occurs if the temperature and velocity values of the heated plate are within the certain range.
