The thermo-elastic singularities of two-dimensional and three-dimensional V-notches in the isotropic material are respectively investigated.By introducing the series asymptotic expansions of the displacements and temperature near the notch vertex,the stress and heat flux equilibrium equations are transformed into the characteristic differential equations with respect to the singularity orders.The singularity orders and corresponding characteristic angular functions can be derived after the interpolating matrix method is introduced to solve the established ordinary differential equations.The present method is efficient and convenient for evaluating the thermo-elastic singularity orders of 2D and 3D V-notches in isotropic material by the comparison with the references.
