To investigate how integrated transportation information(ITI)influences travelers’ trip chains,a multiclass probit-based trip-chain stochastic user equilibrium model for five alternative modes was developed,in which travelers were classified into two groups by accepting ITI or not,and both groups with different perception errors chose their modes and activity locations according to their own expected cost of trip chains.A MSA solution algorithm with Monte-Carlo simulation embedded was proposed.Based on the hyper-network theory,a numerical example was presented.The results indicate that travelers tend to shorten their trip chain after accepting ITI,and travelers benefit from using ITI except the ones traveling by bus.For the alternative modes,the proportion of trip chains traveling by public transport increases by 8.55% under ITI.It is proved that ITI contributes to simplify the structure of trip chains and decrease the cost of trip chains to some extent,also helps to encourage travelers to switch from private cars to public traffic.
