To isolate the inhibitory compounds from cuttlefish ink against putrefying bacteria derived from marine fish, and to explore the physical and chemical properties of the natural marine compounds.Results revealed that the inhibitory active component was harvested from crude extract from squid ink by DEAE-cellulose ion-exchange and sepharose 4B chromatography, and relative molecular weight was determined to be 83,589Da by gel filtration chromatograghy.
