This paper focuses on studies about semi-enclosed residential thermal environment in summer in Xi'an area with the method of one by one single factor, which is used to change the building size ratio of numerical analysis to simulate the dynamic energy consumption of residential buildings throughout the year changes, combining with standard index of cool and heat loss of building to analyze the differences between different types of buildings and put forward the building size range of 0 ∶ 1 ∶ 0.5 according to the optimal choice, which can better meet the requirements semi-enclosed residential buildings in Xi'an area.Meanwhile the recommendation can reach the better combination of energy consumption in summer and winter in Xi'an area.
