Cartographic generalization on disaster risk mapping is a complex decision-making process of expressing disaster system theory and objective law of geography,at the same time it is also a effective means of enhancing disaster risk management in different scale of regions.This article taking flood disaster as an Example,based on DEM-TIN model,using the VirtualGIS module in the software of GIS,3D visualization simulation was achieved,through scenario assumptions,adjusting simulated flood water level,in the process of cartographic generalization,inheriting and merging the hazard-affected bodies of flood in different scale of regions based on physical feature model of "object-category rank",then determine the priority of expression on regional scale,this study may provide spatial measure of value on quantitative assessment of disaster effects within the scope of flood-inundated,it can also provide accurate basis for flood control command scheduling on regional scale.
