  This study aims to evaluate quantitatively the capabilities of neural control in human-machine interaction (HMI).HMI can be modeled as information flows through bidirectional communication channels, where the human receives sensory information from the machine and sends neural control command back to the machine.The interaction between the neural control system and the machine can then be characterized by dynamics of information exchange measured in bits per second.
