The black Fe3O4 magnetic fluid was obtained by chemical co-precipitation method.The average grain size was about 40 nm calculated by Scherrer equation.The experiment condition of the chelating agent (citric acid) was optimized to prepare high quality fluid.The crystal structure and quality were analyzed by the X ray diffraction.
