Glioma is the most common type of primary brain tumours that affects more than 17,000 patients in the United States every year.Glioblastoma Multiforme has the ability to migrate into normal brain cells, resulting in very poor prognosis.Paclitaxel is a highly effective anticancer drug; however, its poor water-solubility is a major problem.Paclitaxel is clinically available as Taxol(R) which consists of the drug solubilized in Cremophor EL and ethanol (1∶1).Cremophor EL is highly toxic and can cause serious adverse effects.
