@@ Brassinosteroid (BR) signaling is essential for BRs function in regulating various physiological and developmental processes in plants. The plasma membrane-localized BR receptor, BRASSINOSTEROID INSENSITIVE 1 (BRI1), is kept quiescent in the absence of steroids, largely due to a plasma membrane associated negative regulator, BRI1 KINASE INHIBITOR 1 (BKI1). BR stimulus can rapidly induce BKIls dissociation from the plasma membrane and its cytosolic localization. However, the mechanism by which BKI1 associates with and dissociates from plasma membrane is largely unknown, and whats the biological function of cytosolic BKI1 also remains to be investigated.
