  In recent years,the mathematical representation of images has attracted a wide range of interests and applications.To efficiently characterize and understand images,people usually use block systems with localized atoms,for example the wavelet and Gabor systems.In this talk,I will first present our work about discrete frames and tight frames with Gabor structure,which have many advantages in the sparse representation of images.To further introduce the multi-scale property to Gabor systems,we consider the following two approaches.One approach is to define the multi-scale Gabor induced frames by using several constructed frames with windows of various lengths.The other approach is to construct discrete frames with both Gabor and MRA structures.Both of the constructed systems can see their potential applications in image processing and recovery.For example,the experiments of image denoising and deconvolution illustrate their effectiveness in sparse image representation.
