The Qinling-Dabie Orogen is a collisional orogen that arose between the North China and South China Blocks during the Mesozoic continental collision (Fig.1) (Meng and Zhang,2000;Zhang et al.,1996).The orogen was affected by the Proto-Tethys in the Neoproterozoic and Paleo-Tethys in the Late Paleozoic. After the oceanic development stage, the Qinling-Dabie Orogen entered the continental collision and intra-continental evolution stage when the Mianlue paleo-oceanic basin closed at the Southern Qinling Belt. The south-north tectonic zoning framework of the Qinling-Dabie Orogen was also formed during the Proto-Tethys and Paleo-Tethys oceanic evolution (Fig.1).
