  Presentation will introduce the results of the experience by earthquakes for reconstruction after Wenchuan earthquake on May 12,2008,especially introduce the results of the experience strong Lu Shan (芦山) Earthquake with M7.0 on April 20,2013 in Sichuan Province in China.Also introduce the result of site investigation of damage status of structures,including some buildings contributed by Hong Kong and Macao after Wenchuan Earthquake with M8.0 May 12,2008.Just after Lushan Earthquake,A surprise message comes,Lu Shan County Hospital building used Isolation Technique (contributed by Macao) had not any damage,also performances very well! But other hospital buildings without isolation were damaged very severely for structures,walls and ceilings,facilities and equipment inside.These hospitals were all destroyed down.The Isolation Hospital building becomes unique rescue Centre in Whole County; thousands of injured people were salvaged in it.Presentation will introduces the recent research、 testing analysis、 design and application on the fields of seismic isolation、 passive control (energy dissipation and tuned mass damper) and active control used for structures and facilities,including buildings、 bridges、 nuclear plants、 historical relics and some important industry facilities in China.There are about 4000 structures with isolation and about 500 structures with energy dissipation in China until 2012.Presentation describes the recent application and typical examples,especially the isolation airport terminal building with 500,000 M2 floor areas which is the largest in the world,and the isolation bridge with 26 km length crossing the sea which is the longest in the world,and the new type of hybrid control with active and passive control for high tower structures.Presentation also makes discussion the tendency of development on seismic resistance、 seismic isolation、 passive and active control technique in the future in China and in the world.
