The Hermitian adjacency matrix of digraphs will be introduced.Its main difference from the usual adjacency matrix is that it is Hermitian and thus its eigenvalues are real and they adhere to the interlacing theorem.The speaker will give an overview of the main properties of Hermitian adjacency matrices and their eigenvalues and outline some recent results.
