A CALPHAD coupled multi component multi-phase Kampmann-Wagner Numerical framework has been employed to treat the precipitation of various stable and metastable phases, i.e., β(Mg2Si), β"(Mg18Si10) and β" (Mg5Si6) during the cooling process after homogenization (soaking) heat treatment of AA6082, AA6060 and AA6005.The model is able to treat the concurrent nucleation and growth of the three phases, and predict the evolutions of precipitating particles size distributions and fractions.The results of the model predictions will be compared with the experimental measurements reported in the literature.
