Green Manufacturing (GM) is a kind of modem manufacturing mode with the full consideration of resources consumption and environmental impact.Based on the existing achievement and the authorsresearches in recent years,a GM operation model of five-layer structure is proposed,including enterprise strategic goal,enterprise operation objectives,product life cycle main line,product design process main line and enterprise information systems.And the six subsystems of the operation model are introduced.Implementing GM is a long term strategy,so the authors suggest the general thought,namely,“General Planning,Step-by-step Implementing”,should be taken for an enterprises to implement GM.The operation model can be effectively applied to make the General Planning and work out the scheme of Step-by-step Implementing.The successful application case of an enterprise,Chongqing Machine Tool Works,is introduced,which shows the model is practicai.
