  Proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) have attracted considerable attention as new power sources for vehicles and portable devices.Currently,Perfluorosulfonic acid membranes such as Nation(@) are the current state-of-the-art PEM materials because of their superior chemical and electrochemical stability,high proton conductivity.However,perfluorosulfonic acid membranes have critical drawbacks:high preparation cost,high methanol crossover,poor mechanical stability at devated temperatures(T > 80℃).Hydrocarbon based polymers have been investigated to recover these drawbacks.The other potential materials are partially fluorinated polymers,which are expected to have the advantages between perfluoropolymers and hydrocarbon based polymes.
