Dr.Wu Lien-Teh (1879-1860) was a Malayan-born Chinese.In 1896, Dr.Wu was admitted to Emmanuel College as the very first medical student of Chinese descent to study at University of Cambridge.After serving as the vice-director of Imperial Army Medical College in Tianjin for three year, Dr.Wu Lien-Teh was assigned to Harbin in the winter of 1910 to investigate an unknown disease killing almost all of its victims.
