Motivation: Structure-based computational protein design is an important topic in protein engineering.Under the assumption of a rigid backbone and a finite set of discrete conformations of side-chains, various methods have been proposed to address this problem.A popular method is to combine the dead-end elimination (DEE) and A* tree search algorithms, which provably finds the Global Minimum Energy Conformation (GMEC) solution.

Background: Long ncRNAs (lncRNAs) are long non-coding transcripts (>200nt), but play important roles in various biological processes, such as genomic imprinting, X dosage compensation and chromatin re
Background: Current in-silico methods that are used for genome-wide microRNA (miRNA) prediction are mainly based on BLAST tool. They often produce a large number of false positives.
Background: Recent years, the influence of introns on gene expression has been attached more and more importance.Though some genes contain no intron or the gene expression needs no intron, in many cas

Background: Since the discovery of introns, a kind of non-coding RNA, there have been considerable efforts to understand their function and evolution.Until recently, it has become increasingly clear t
