Plant receptor kinases (RKs) are a large family of single transmembrane proteins that play critical roles in many biological processes including development, growth and immunity.RKs mediate plant immunity by acting as pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) to recognize pathogen-derived signature components (termed pathogen-associated patterns, PAMPs) or host-derived danger signals (danger-associated molecular patterns, DAMPs).
