Objective We aimed to examine whether the levels of PAH-DNA adducts in cord blood or cord tissue were associated with the risk of fetal neural tube defects (NTDs).Methods 120 subjects (60 NTD cases, 60 healthy controls) were recruited from a population-based birth defects surveillance system in five counties of Shanxi Province in northern China from 2010 to 2012.
